All trim levels of this new Mazda hybrid, including the entry-level Preferred, come equipped with the e-Skyactiv® PHEV powertrain. This system features a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and a 17.8-kWh battery for a whopping 323 net horsepower and up to 369 lb-ft of torque. You can operate this vehicle solely using electric power with an all-electric range of up to 26 miles.

For 2026, the Mazda CX-90 PHEV now comes with 21-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat. You’ll also receive a standard 12.3-inch center touchscreen, a wireless phone charging pad, and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.

Premium Sport

Moving up to the Premium Sport trim gives you blackout exterior elements such as a gloss black honeycomb front grille, black metallic wheels, and piano black side mirrors. For 2026, the Mazda brand logo is also blacked-out. You can seat up to seven people with the choice between second-row bench seats or second-row captain’s chairs. Other interior amenities include a head-up display, a power liftgate, and a built-in navigation system for added convenience.

Premium Plus

The most luxurious version of this vehicle is the Mazda CX-90 PHEV Premium Plus. It separates itself from previous trims with features like an adaptive front lighting system and the new driver personalization system. You’ll get standard Nappa leather seating and an integrated 150- watt accessory power outlet. There are several advanced safety features, such as a 360-degree View Monitor.
